Katherine Grace Zappulla Deaner, 74, of Chester, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Frank Sr. and Katherine Zappulla. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Deaner; two sons, Patrick and Michael (Tomako) Deaner; daughter, Lynne Blais; two sisters, Frances Grundler and Linda Compton; three brothers, Frank Zappulla Jr., Chris (Shari) Zappulla and Mark Zappulla; four grandchildren, Emily, Jacob, Elsie and Josephine; and a large extended family. Katherine was an avid Bridge player and former president of the Chester Jaycettes. Visitation will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with a service following the visitation at 1:00pm at the funeral home. There will not be a graveside service at Appomattox Cemetery as originally planned.
