Katherine Louise Lesley Donnelly

Katherine Louise Donnelly, 85, of Petersburg, Virginia, residing in Seminole, Florida, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Glenn Lesley "Bud", of Petersburg, Virginia; her mother, Emily M. Lesley, of Petersburg, Virginia; and her husband, Edward Francis Donnelly, Jr., to whom she was married for 48 years. Katherine was educated at St. Mary's College, in Raleigh, NC. She was an active member in her church and a member of the altar guild. Katherine was a longtime prior member of Christ and Grace, in Petersburg, Virginia, and a current member of St. Anne of Grace, in Seminole, Florida. Katherine was a devoted Christian, wife, daughter, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, and a friend to everyone she met in all avenues of life. Her love for God was very evident in her life as the fruit of God's love was always shining through her for others. Katherine had a large number of friends throughout her life who were loyal and filled with love and admiration for her, as she was for them. Katherine is survived by her daughter, Lesley Donnelly Roe (Ralph), of Towson, Maryland; son, James Frederick Donnelly, Sr. (Jill), of Chesterfield, Virginia; grandchildren, Buddy Donnelly, of Seattle, Washington, Nick Donnelly, of Chesterfield, Virginia, Emily Taylor (Todd), of Towson, Maryland, and Ann Margaret Schaller (Justin), of Towson, Maryland; great-grandchildren, Haven Ara Taylor, of Towson, Maryland, Millie Kate Schaller, of Towson, Maryland, and James Theodore Schaller "Teddy", of Towson, Maryland. A graveside service will be held at Blandford Cemetery, 319 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 11 AM, with Rev. Dr. Mary Thorpe officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), the American Diabetes Association, or the ASPCA.
