Katherine Cox Lee, 84, of Prince George, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 8, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cornice Cornell Cox and Geneva Louise Westbook Cox; her loving husband of 45 years, Reverend Julius Haywood Lee; and her brother, Zeke Cox. She was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. Katherine was a member of Matoaca United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, served communion and visited shut ins from her church, led Bible studies, played the organ and piano, and sang in the choir. Katherine loved everyone and was an example of a true Christian and witnessed her faith to anyone she met. Katherine loved her family and friends and was very proud of her daughter, son-in-law, and especially her granddaughter. She is survived by her daughter, Martha Lee King and her husband, Keith; granddaughter, Cynthia Rebekah King; brothers, Cornell Cox (Jane), Jerry Cox (Nikki), Gene Cox (Mary Kay); sister-in-law, Carolyn Cox; dear friend, Virginia Littell; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 3pm to 5pm on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday, November 13, 2017 at Matoaca United Methodist Church 6301 River Road South Chesterfield, VA 23803, with interment to follow in East Matoaca Cemetery.
