Katherine Mason Schultz

Katherine Mason Schultz, 96, of Hopewell, VA passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020. Born in Clifton Forge, VA she was the daughter of the late W. H. and Eloise Moody Mason; and was also preceded in death by her first husband, Carl A. Lipp, Sr.; her second husband, Col. William H. Schultz; a daughter, Katherine Brockwell; and a grandson, Troy Beard. Mrs. Schultz had retired from civil service at Ft. Lee after many years of dedicated service. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hopewell and loved ballroom dancing, bowling; and was an active member at the Hopewell Community Center. She is survived by her son, Carl “Buddy” Lipp, Jr. and wife, Ann; three grandsons, Derrell Randel Brockwell (Sandra), Bryan Lipp and Ronald Brockwell (Susanne); six great-grandchildren, William, Jacob, Allyson, Brandon and Victoria Brockwell and Krystal Beard; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens, Prince George, VA. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T.
