Katherine Lipscomb Southall

Katherine Lipscomb Southall long time resident of Chester, Virginia and Elementary School teacher and Librarian in Chesterfield County, Virginia died July 4, 2015 in Raleigh, North Carolina at the age of 96. Katherine was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Leslie Earl Southall. She is survived by her son Ralph Leslie Southall and wife Jan Vaughan Southall of Raleigh, N.C.; two granddaughters Lesley Southall Bradley and husband Brian P. Bradley of Apex, N.C., and Katherine Southall Ward of Mecklenburg County, Virginia; two great-granddaughters Hannah Gayle and Gretchen Annette Bradley of Apex, N.C.; three brothers, Julian Lipscomb and wife Mary Ann of Virginia Beach , Va. and family, James Lipscomb and wife Mary of Albuquerque, NM and family, and Jack Lipscomb and wife Sue of Gretna, Va. and family. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2015 in Blandford Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Ivan Perkinson, officiating.
