Katherine Tucker

Katherine â??Kittyâ? Thweatt Tucker, 101, of McKenney passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years John M. Tucker, Sr., sister, Louise T. Davis, three brothers, Dr. Frank F. Thweatt, Archie B. Thweatt, and Dr. James A. Thweatt. Mrs. Tucker is survived by three sons, John M. Tucker, Jr. and his wife Frances Baskerville Tucker of Manassas, VA, Thomas M. Tucker of Colonial Heights, VA, Frank T. Tucker of Virginia Beach, VA, four grandchildren, Katherine T. Olson, King T. Brady, Deborah T. Meadows, Jonathan P. Tucker, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous other family and friends. She was a graduate of Farmville State Teachers College (Longwood University), a long time member of The Church of the Good Shepherd where she was very active in different groups, and was a life long homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 23, 2010 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at The Church of the Good Shepherd, 7800 Lew Jones Road, McKenney, VA, 23872.
