Kathleen "Kathy" Mae Palmer

Kathleen Mae (Harrigan) Palmer, 66, passed away on Thursday, June 30 at VCU Medical Center. Throughout her life, Kathy enjoyed music, painting, photography, cooking, the beach, and her family. Born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, Kathy was preceded in death by Christabelle and John Harrigan and step-son Patrick Neil Palmer. She is survived by her beloved husband of thirty years, Charles Buckner Palmer, Jr. of Chester; son, Jay Taylor and his wife, Shelly of Hopewell; daughter, Kelly Mae Frashure and her husband, Ron of Chester; stepson, Charles B. Palmer, III (Chad) and his wife, Natascha of Harrisonburg; stepdaughter, Elisabeth Dawn Palmer of Chester; grandson, Aaron Dean Frashure of Chester; granddaughter, Amanda Marie Taylor of Chesterfield; sister, Patricia Young of Topsfield, Massachusetts; brother, Timothy Harrigan and his wife, Lori of West Newbury, Massachusetts; and dear friend Marilyn Shaw Paul of Henniker, New Hampshire. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. July 5, 2016 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Colonial Heights followed by a reception at the church. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond.
