Kathleen Gallion Kirkpatrick, 88, of Petersburg, died on November 5, 2018. Born in Victoria, Virginia, she and her six brothers were raised by the late George (Fatie) and Vesta Gallion. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, John Cyrus Kirkpatrick, Jr.; daughter, Robin Kirkpatrick; and five brothers, George, Charles, Johnny, Ben, and Jimmy Gallion. She was a talented actress, singer, and artist, a devoted member of Christ & Grace Episcopal Church Choir, an educator, and a creative, vibrant, beautiful force of life. She will be missed immensely. She is survived by daughter, Georgia Kasper and her husband, Shane, of Richmond; and son, Bard Kirkpatrick and his wife, Wendy, of Richmond; grandchildren, Rachel Kirkpatrick of Raleigh, NC, Tanner Kirkpatrick of Richmond, Gus Kasper and Miles Kasper of King William; and a brother, Lewis Gallion and his wife, Norma, of Lynchburg; as well as several nieces and nephews and close friends. A celebration of her life is scheduled for 2:00pm on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Christ and Grace Episcopal Church in Petersburg, with a reception to follow in Lackey Hall. The Reverend Robin Teasley will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Kathleen’s long and full life.
