Kathleen Raiford

Kathleen Bradshaw Raiford, 89, of Ivor, VA, widow of Walter H. Raiford, Sr., passed away Friday, July 8, 2005 at East Pavilion Nursing Home, Franklin. Born in Sedley, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Henry and Delzine Raiford Bradshaw. Mrs. Raiford was a member of the Corinth Friends Meeting in Ivor where she was a member of the Ladies Aid Society of the Church and the WNY Sunday School Class. She is survived by a son, Walter H. Raiford, Jr. and wife, Linda of Ivor; two daughters, Barbara Ann Brown and husband, James of Manteo, NC and Audrey R. Hancock of Sedley; six grandchildren, Pam B. Rives, Cheryl B. Byrum, Jeff Brown, Terri B. Brennan, Chris Hancock, and Christy R. Wilson; and eleven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 PM Sunday, July 10, at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Monday, July 11, at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Hershel Hill and the Rev. Elizabeth Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley. Memorial contributions may be made to Corinth Friends Meeting, 13494 Corinth Road, Ivor, VA 23866 or to a charity of your choice.
