Mother was a retired Administrator for the County of Sussex, Virginia. She was a wonderful Mother, Grandma, and Great-grandma who loved her family more than anything in the world. She especially loved the springtime, when her azaleas and rhododendrons were in bloom. She loved all flowers, and had a fondness for anything pink. She was a true southern lady, who loved fried chicken, sweets, and wore her pearls every day.
The family would like to thank her caregivers, Martha Barber, Lynn Burroughs, and most recently Jennifer Elder, who affectionately referred to Mama as Miss Fancy Pants. Over the years, they helped us keep Mama at home during her illness, and we thank each and every one of you from the bottom of our hearts.
We would also like to thank Hospice of Virginia, yellow team members, especially her Hospice Nurses, Joyce and Maggie. You were very kind and compassionate to our family.
