Katie Shelton

Katie Marie White Shelton, 82, of Hopewell passed from death into enternal life on Tuesday, July 13, 2004 from her home. She was the widow of Walter Snow Shelton and the daughter of the late Lewis Ivy White and Annie Lily White. She was born in Speed, NC on September 25, 1921, and was a member of Christian Life Center, Petersburg, Va. She is survived by six daughters, Donna S. Shelly and her husband John of Suffolk, Betty S. Gerardi and husband Jim of Raleigh, NC., Melva S. Shelton of Chesterfield County, Patricia S. Stiltoner and husband John, of Hopewell, Trina S. Holmstrand and husband Keith of Zebulon, NC and Rebecca S. Smith and husband Charlie of Hopewell, one son, F. David Shelton of Hopewell, sisters, Anniebelle Reese of Chester, Susie Paramore of Prince George, Velma Horton of Hamilton, NC a brother Leland White of Suffolk, 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, July 17, 2004 at 2:00 PM at Christian Life Center Church in Petersburg by her Pastor Rev. C. M. Varnell. Burial will be in Blandford Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Friday, July 16, 2004 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.
