Kelma Rebecca Ford, 85, of Petersburg, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Born in Columbia, TN, she was the daughter of the late Egbert Warren and Janie McAfee Warren. She was also preceded in death by daughters, Fran Burton and Janie Miller.
Kelma Ford was an avid cookbook collector. She was known for her talent in the kitchen and enjoyed cooking for her family. Most of all, she was a loving mother, wife, and grandmother. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Alva B. Ford, Sr.; children, Kelly Rene Ford, Alva “Rusty” Ford, Jr. (Pamela), and Yvette Giovinazzi; grandchildren, Rustin Ford, Darlene Kilpatrick, Cristina Vaustin (Eric), and Brian Ford; son-in-law, Floyd Burton. The family would like to extend a special heartfelt thank you to Kelma’s nurse and caregiver, Anna Smith.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Southlawn Memorial Park in the mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation, or to your local animal shelter. Condolences may be registered at
