Kenneth Edwin Hayward, 29, a lifelong resident of Dinwiddie County, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 19, 2013. Kenny had a big heart and his family was his life. He enjoyed fishing, and playing and writing music. He could play any instrument he picked up. He was an employee of ITS Maintenance where he did landscaping work. Kenny was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Eugene and Pauline Kestner, and a loving aunt, Judy Jones. He is survived by his parents, Eric Hayward and Anita Kestner Hayward; brother, Jerry Reed and wife, Stacey of Dinwiddie; sister, Josie Haire and husband, Josh of Sutherland; nieces and nephews, Hunter Reed, Preston Reed, and “Little Miss” Scarlett Haire; paternal grandfather, Roger C. Hayward and wife, Millie of Petersburg; his lifetime friend, Amanda Harver; his God-children, Haley Nugent and Kenneth Ambrose; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 24th at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
