God called his beloved Kenneth Eugene Ivey â??Dashâ? home at 3:30 pm on Thursday May 31, 2012, surrounded by his loving family, fiancé, and friends. Kenny fought a long and courageous battle with cancer for fifteen months. Kenny was medically retired from Riverside Regional Jail, and also served in the US Navy during Vietnam Era aboard the USS Laffey and the USS Lowery. He loved fishing, hunting, Nascar, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his fiancé, Deborah Jean McGee of Charles City, Va; sons, Matthew Scott Ivey of Chester, Va and Carter Alexander Ivey and his wife Amanda of Chester Va; grandson, Jackson Lynn Ivey; sister, Sandra Harrell and her husband Larry of North Carolina; special aunt, Thelma Collins of Enon Va ; his adorable and loving companions, Nokie and Starr; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many many supportive friends. Kenny lived life to the fullest and was loved by many. He will be sadly missed. Family will receive friends Monday June 4, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 1 :00 p.m. at the Chester Chapel of J.T.
