Kenneth "Peter" Vaughan

Kenneth Wayne â??Peterâ? Vaughan, 65, of Petersburg, was called to his Heavenly home Monday, March 14, 2011. He was the son of the late Thomas N. and Eunice Babb Vaughan. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Carolyn Vaughan; sisters, Shirley M. Vaughan and Annie L. Vreeland; brothers, John, James, William and Walter â??Buckâ? Vaughan. Kenneth was a member of Pine Grove Baptist church in Dinwiddie and the Hopewell Moose Lodge. He was employed with Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company with 20 years service and afterwards worked at the Chesterfield Landfill for another 20 years. He is survived by his sister, Selesa Rugar of Dewitt, VA; a brother, Daniel â??Glenâ? Vaughan and sister-in-law Joyce of Macon, GA; a sister-in-law Margie Vaughan; two devoted nephews, Charlie Vreeland and Jerry Perkinson, and numerous nieces, nephews and his close friends. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, March 18, 2011 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service with the Rev. Rodney Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Blandford Cemetery.
