Kenneth Ray Snodgrass Sr. 69, of North Chesterfield made his final journey home to meet his Lord and Savior, on Thursday, July 24th, 2014. He was met by his son, Kenneth Ray Snodgrass Jr. who passed in January of 2011. He was formerly a resident of Derby VA, born the son of Margaret and Edward Snodgrass. Kenneth was a retired veteran of the US Army and retired from Reynolds Aluminum, where he worked as a forklift driver, and was known for his support and accomplishments with the labor union. Kenneth was known for his outgoing personality and making people laugh. He continued this through his final days at McGuire's hospice care. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 50 years, Clara Snodgrass; his daughter, Sandra L. Groff; his brother, Edward Snodgrass; grandchildren, Ciera N. Newby and Gabriel Gauge Groff. This is not limited to the numerous family members and close friends. The Family would once again like to formally thank the staff of Journey's Way for their unconditional love and care. Kenneth will be honored on Thursday, July 31st, at 11:00 AM at the Chester Chapel of JT Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will follow at Bermuda Memorial Park. The family graciously ask in lieu of flowers contributions be made in Kenneth's name to the Veteran's Association.
