Kevin Doane

Kevin Francis Doane, 53, of Prince George, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2012. He worked for nineteen years in management with Circuit City, and was presently employed with Lowes Home Improvement. Kevin had a passion for life; he enjoyed working in his yard, playing pool, and his love for music allowed him to become a great DJ. Kevin was very personable, family-oriented, and loved by many. He is preceded by his father, Edward J. Doane; and his brother, Michael Edward Doane. Kevin is survived by his son, Stephen Doane; daughters, Lauren Haislip and husband Derrick, and Leah Heckel; longtime soulmate, Cynthia Gray and daughters, Beth Eley and husband Scott, and Allison Gray; grandchildren, Hannah and Leah Haislip, and Carter and Anna Tate; his mother, Frances Caison Doane; brother, John Doane and wife Judy; sisters, Pat Doane Reid and husband Gerald, and Donna Doane Oâ??Leary; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Church of the Sacred Heart, 9300 Community Lane, Petersburg, Virginia 23805, with Father Jay Wagner officiating. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park in Prince George, Virginia.
