Kevin James Mabus

Kevin James Mabus, 64, of Chester, VA, passed away on January 27, 2023. Kevin was the son of the late Gordon and Earla Stanger Mabus; and was also preceded in death by his brother, Russell Mabus; his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Earla Stanger; and an uncle, Richard Stanger. Kevin retired from Pre Con Inc, Chester VA, after 32 years as the Lead Mechanic. He continued working as a part time consultant. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and target shooting. Additionally, he was a member of the Conservation Park of Virginia, Inc.
Mr. Mabus is survived by his uncle, Paul Stanger; cousin, Sally Smith and husband, Mark, and her daughter, Brittney Magness and husband, Cody. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
