Kim Lyngbye Jensen

Kim L. Jensen, 63, died peacefully surrounded by his family and friends on February 2, 2022. He was born March 27, 1958, in Canada, the son of Erik Jensen and Lis (Andersen) Jensen. Kim graduated from Meadowbrook High School in 1977 and worked as an electrician for Dominion Energy for 30+ years. He had been a member of Piedmont Search and Rescue, Search and Rescue Tracking Institute, and long-time EMT, as well as an outdoor enthusiast, which he passed on to both of his children. His favorite pastime was being at the Bay with his family and friends, enjoying their company and fishing, while his wife enjoyed the sunshine. On June 20, 1981, Kim married his lifetime sweetheart, Kay (Jones) Jensen and they spent 40 years married but had been together since they were 12 years old.
Kim was predeceased by his father, Erik Jensen; and son, Kameron Jensen. He is survived by his mother, Lis Jensen; wife, Kay Jensen; daughter and son-in-law, Kirsten and Kurt Dunn; brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Vanessa Jensen; nephew, Eric Jensen and family. He had three grandchildren, Landon Jensen, Kyliegh Jensen, and Harper Dunn.
Being that they were a Danish family, Kim followed his ancestors when it came to religion. Being as such, a Norse Pagan ceremony of life will be held at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home in Chester, VA on February 19, 2022 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
