Kim Showers

Kim H. Showers, age 51, of Chester, VA passed away Friday, February 10, 2006. Mr. Showers was born in Akron, Ohio and had lived in the Chester area for seventeen plus years. He has served as the Commissioner of the Wells Baseball Association; Assistant Coach of the Richmond Ruckus; member of the American Welders Society; and member of the Chester United Methodist Church. He is survived by a wife, Karen K. Showers; a daughter, Krystal N. Showers; a son, Kary L. Showers, all of Chester; parents, Calvin C. and Dorothy A. Showers, of Pawleys Island, SC; a sister Kellie S. Mrus, of Chester; two nephews, Matthew and Michael Mrus of Cortland, OH; and several close personal friends. The family will receive friends at the J. T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Chester on Sunday, February 12, from 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial service will follow on Monday, 11:00 a.m. at the Chester United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to University of Virginia?s College at Wise Softball Program.
