Kinh Lao Hayes

Kinh Lao Hayes was born in Vietnam, on April 5, 1937. She is survived by her three sisters, An Tu Lao, of Chesterfield, Julie Tu Lao, of Hopewell, her daughter, Kim Lao Goodman, of Mechanicsville, and Nancy Tu Lao, of Washington, D.C. Kinh was raised and educated in Vietnam, and worked for her husband during his two tours in Vietnam. She spoke Cantonese, Vietnamese, and English, and as the wife of an army officer deployed in Germany, she had to learn basic German. Hank and Kinh married in Morristown, New Jersey, on September 2, 1972. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, September 26, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 West Hundred Road, Chester. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
