L. Patricia Mccormick

L. Patricia McCormick, 79, of Prince George, passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Orville Veasel and Lola Handley Veasel. She was also preceded in death by her son, Timothy E. McCormick.
Patricia is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Thomas McCormick; children, Mark McCormick (Karen), Patrick McCormick, Catherine Warthen (Daniel), and Terri Gilbert (Scott); grandchildren, Amanda, Peter, and Sara Warthen, Meaghan Gilbert, Tyler and Kristina Daniel; and great-grandchild, Houston Pomeroy.
Patricia was employed with Petersburg General Hospital as a Registered Nurse for 20 years. She enjoyed painting, traveling, and attending shows at the Theatre. Most of all, she loved her family and spending time with them.
A Rosary service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery.
