Ladye Powell

Ladye T. Powell â??Sonnyâ?, 81, of Petersburg passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Charles Churchill Traylor, Sr. and Susie Lee Harrison Traylor. Mrs. Powell is survived by her husband of 57 years, Claude Powell; daughters, Patsy Lee Powell of Petersburg, and Debbie Powell Knowles and husband, Robert of Dinwiddie; grandchildren, Courtney Knowles of Dinwiddie and Price Knowles of Radford; sisters, Mary T. Martin of Colonial Heights and Idear T. Mayes of Hopewell; brother, Albert F. Traylor and wife, Jeannette of Fredricksburg; 2 special granddogs, Mackenzie Marie and Rikkie Dale and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Sunday, March 28, 2010 from 4 to 6 pm. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, March 29, 2010 at the funeral home.
