Mrs. Lalla Virginia Winn Bain, 94, widow of Leon Stanley Bain, passed away Saturday, August 7, 2004 at her home in Dinwiddie County. Born in Dinwiddie, VA on May 28, 1910, she was one of thirteen children of the late Edward Milton and Estelle Hitchcock Winn. Mrs. Bain was a member of Hawkins and Mt. Olivet United Methodist Churches. She is survived by sons, the Reverend Stanley Bain (Florence) of Kailua, Hawaii and Billy Bain of Dinwiddie; daughters, Joyce A. Bain and Lula Gay Bain of Richmond; brother, Jack Winn (Alice) of Richmond; sister, Virginia Repella of Phoenix, Arizona; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 10, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Bain Family Cemetery on Bain Road, Dinwiddie on Wednesday, August 11, at 3:00 P.M. with the Reverend Mary White and the Reverend Teresa Keezel officiating.
