Landon Henry Connelly Jr.

Landon Henry Connelly, Jr., 78, of DeWitt, VA, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015. A lifelong resident of DeWitt, he was the son of the late Landon H. and Sallie Wells Connelly. He was also preceded in death by two special cousins, Jack Connelly and Katie Rollings. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth Sutherland Connelly; son, Jimmy Connelly; grandchildren, Heather Connelly and Dalton Connelly; special cousins, Lula Wyatt, Donna Brockwell (Bruce), and Patty Wyatt as well as numerous other cousins and extended family. Mr. Connelly was a lifelong member of Rocky Run United Methodist Church, and a charter member of Rocky Run Hunt Club and DeWitt-Rocky Run Ruritan Club. He was also a member of Dinwiddie Lodge No. 136 A.F. & A.M. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2015 at Rocky Run United Methodist Church Cemetery, 14925 Glebe Road, DeWitt, VA 23840. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rocky Run United Methodist Church, c/o Glenice Townsend, 14330 Glebe Road, DeWitt, VA 23840. The family is being served by the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T.
