Larry Douglas Dingas, Sr.

June 14, 1951 — February 2, 2024

Larry Douglas Dingas, Sr., 72, of Prince George, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Nellie Dingas; and his brother, Michael Dingas.

Larry was the President and CEO of George's Excavating, which he operated for 50 years from 1974-2024. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge 115 as well as an AHEPA member. Larry had a passion for classic cars and owned a 1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass as well as a 1940 Ford.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sherry Dingas; two sons, George Wayne Dingas (Diane Starke Dingas) and Larry Dingas, Jr. (Rebecca Waddell Dingas); grandchildren, Raegan Dingas and Stella Dingas; bonus grandchild, Carlie Vaughan; brother, Tommie Dingas (Brenda); beloved dog, Titos; and numerous extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Monday, February 12, 2024 from 12:00-1:00 PM. A funeral service will take place in the chapel at 1:00 PM, with interment following the service at Southlawn Memorial Park.
