Larry Clenton Gilmore, 59, of Prince George, died Thursday, August 3, 2006 in John Randolph Medical Center. He was born in Hopewell and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mr. Gilmore served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a retired Industrial pipe fitter for Hercules, Inc, a member of the Prince George Ruritan Club, a member of the Steelworkers Union and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #1472. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Clenton and Gladys Taylor Gilmore and his daughter, Amanda Gilmore. Surviving are his wife, Terrie Bailey Gilmore of Prince George, a daughter, Jennifer Derlene Gilmore of Dinwiddie, two sons, David C. Gilmore and wife Kimberly, Clifton â??Chipâ? Perkinson and wife Amy all of Prince George, five grandchildren, Crystal, Harley, Brandon, Damion and Brennon, brother, Ronald C. Gilmore and wife Brenda of Rupert, WVA., Several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 6, 2006 from 3-5PM at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Monday, August 7, 2006 at 11:00 AM in the Hopewell Chapel with Arthur Lands, pastor of Southside Baptist Church officiating.
Interment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, Va.
