Laura Wrenn Bryant, a lifelong resident of Surry, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2011. She was born in Harrisburg, PA, the daughter of the late Edwin and Arlene White Wrenn. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Basil Ward Bryant. She was a member of Spring Grove Methodist Church.
Mrs. Bryant is survived by her son, Edwin Ward Bryant of Surry, VA; daughters, Joyce Bryant Gorman and her husband, Jerry of Richmond, VA and Nancy Bryant Weaver and her husband, Jack of Woodbridge, VA; grandchildren, Ward J. Weaver, III of Woodbridge, VA, Ashley Paige Bryant and Benjamin Ward Bryant of Surry, VA and numerous cousins, family and close friends who include, Gloria Cochrane.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 10, 2011 at the Wakefield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Ross officiating. Burial will follow at Union Christian Church Cemetery. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
