Laura Williams Flory

Laura Williams Flory, 92, of Chesterfield County, VA passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018. Born in Richmond, VA she was the daughter of the late Maynard and Sarah Dunn; and was also preceded in death by her first husband, Tom Williams; a daughter, Linda Clarke; two sisters, Helen Puryear, Dorothy Moore and a grandson, Mark Cooke. At the young age of 13, Mrs. Flory gave her life to Christ and spent her time following her Savior and taking care of those she loved. She graduated from RPI with a degree in interior decorating, but never pursued that career and went on to retire from the Virginia Department of Transportation after more than 39 years of service. At the age of 81 she married her second husband, Charles Russell Flory, who was her loving caregiver for the last 11 years. She is also survived by three children, Tom Williams, Jr. and wife, Carolyn; Dan Williams and Becky Sckinto and husband, Jimmy; three grandchildren, Michael and his wife, Dana, Patricia and her husband, Rob, and J.D.; and numerous great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Maynard and Brenda Puryear along with the nurses at Hospice of Virginia for their care shown towards Mrs. Flory. All services will be private.
