Laura W. Southall

Laura Jeannette Wood Southall, 86, of Colonial Heights died Thursday, October 14, 2004. She was the daughter of the late Clark McDowell Wood, Sr. and Lois Jenkins Wood. She was preceded in death by her sister, Edith Wood Gay; as well as Thomas A. Southall. Mrs. Southall was retired from the Chesterfield County Public Schools and was a member of Greenwood Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her brother, Clark M. Wood, Jr. and his wife, Mary Margaret; her son, William W. Southall of Richmond; her daughter, Joan S. Mills and husband Dan; grandsons, Todd William Mills and Nathan B. and wife Courtney Mills; great-granddaughter, Annabelle G. Mills; two nieces, Lilla W. Costello (Joe) and Lois W. Schmidt (Rodney). Family will receive friends from 3 to 5 pm Sunday, October 17, 2004 in the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 pm Monday, October 18, 2004 at Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be at Blandford Cemetery at a later date.
