Lawrence Calvin Jackson

Lawrence Calvin “Teddy” Jackson, 80, of Wheeling, WV passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the Valley Haven Nursing Home in Wellsburg, WV.. Born on August 21, 1935 in Ford, VA Lawrence was the son of the late Manzy and Alvenia Jackson. “Teddy” as he was known to all of his friends, was a retired Taxi Driver for Wheeling Cab. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters. Teddy is survived by two sisters, Irene Weaver and Bernice Fields and his cousin, Ruth Queen, of Virginia, as well as a local friend and caregiver Michele Carder of Wheeling, WV. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Blandford Cemetery in Petersburg, VA. The Reverend Dr. Jimmie L. Walker, Sr. of the Center Star Baptist Church in Dinwiddie, VA will conduct service.
