Lawrence Edward Novak, 92, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017. Born in Bethlehem, PA, he was the son of the late Paul Peter Novak and Margaret Lancaster Novak. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Velma Riddle Novak. He is survived by his son, L. Kent Novak (Sherry); two daughters, Tina Paige Novak Horak (Mark), and Rhonda Anne Novak Wohnig (Dwayne); grandchildren, Brittany Jordan Horak Moore (Matthew), Lacie Victoria Horak Leming (David), Taylor Margaret Horak, and Garrett Neil Harrison Wohnig. Lawrence served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He was an executive with American Tobacco Co. in Richmond. Lawrence was a real estate agent and broker from 1956-2001 and established his own Real Estate Company, Windsor Realty. He was a Master Mason with Petersburg Lodge #15 A.F.A.M. and Shriner from 1954-1990. He enjoyed being under the sun, traveling to the beach and boating, he also loved to fly and was a member of the Civil Air Patrol for many years. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 27, 2017 at Blandford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association, 4600 Cox Rd. Suite 130 Glen Allen, VA 23060. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
