Lawrence Edward Small, Sr., 71, of Hopewell, VA passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Small, Jr. and Agnus Elsie Short Small. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Lynn Small; son, Lawrence E. Small, Jr., and wife Tia; daughter, Carrie Lynn Jones and fiancée Shawn Pierce; grandchildren, Amber Lynn Small, Joshua Alan Jones, William Valencia, Sonia Valencia, and Brenton Wayne Pierce; sister, Carol Buchanan and husband David; sister, Eileen Blansfield; brothers, David Small, Albert Campbell, Johnny Small, and Ronald Small; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
