Lawrence Edward Watkins

Lawrence Edward Watkins, 83, went to be with the Lord on July 30, 2022. He was the son of the late Haywood and Sarah Watkins. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Faber. Lawrence retired from Walmart after 15 years as a meat cutter. He was a lifetime member of Namozine Volunteer Fire Department Company 4, as well as a member of Grace Baptist Church in Dinwiddie. Lawrence is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Janet Watkins; his son, Michael Watkins (Joyce); stepchildren, Pam Cunningham (Ed), Deborah Elliott (John), Stephanie Perkinson; loving grandchildren, Melissa Kimmel and Timothy Love; 9 loving step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Patty Braswell and Elizabeth Walker (Eddie); and nieces, Dorna and Amanda. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 3 at 10 AM, at Blandford Cemetery, 319 S. Crater Road, Petersburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Crater Community Hospice.
