Le Roy Blake “Roy” Emmons, Sgt, U.S. Army, Ret., 75, of Lakeside Dr., Prince George, Virginia, died Tuesday, January 13, 2004 in the McGuire’s Veterans. Medical Center, Richmond, Va.. He served in the U. S. Army during WW II, Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War. Mr. Emmons was a retired District Manager with 10 years of service for the Brockton ( Mass.) Enterprise, a member of the Veterans of Foreign War and the American Legion Post #0137. He was the son of the late Harold and Jeanette Welcome Emmons. Surviving are his wife Barbara Joyce Warren Emmons of Prince George, two daughters, Carolyn D. Cullen of Prince George and Linda C. Hanson of Bridgewater, Mass., a son, Le Roy Blake Emmons, Jr. of Brockton, Mass,. three grandsons, Barry A. Erven of Roy, Utah, Karl Hanson .and Bryan Hanson both of Bridgewater, Mass. two great-grandsons, Zachary and Dillon Erven both of Roy, Utah, a sister, Joyce Antilla of Windsor, Maine , and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at 11AM in the main chapel of the McGuries Veterans Medical Center, Richmond, with Chaplain Harry Simmons and Chaplain Robert Gustavson , officiating. Interment will be private. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. .
