Lelia Clyde Stockner Long

Lelia Clyde Stockner Long, 100, of Petersburg, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013. Born in Galax, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Saunders and Gladys Stockner. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy Long; son, Wayne Long; sister, Ethel Boston; and brother, Thomas Stockner. Mrs. Long was a woman of faith and a devoted member of Highland United Methodist Church in Colonial Heights. She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Lukomski and her husband, John; grandchildren, John Lukomski, III. and his wife, Janice, Mary Jane McKinney and her husband, Don, Julie Helmer and her husband, Howard, Philip Long and his wife, Lisa, and Lelia Elizabeth Gruwell and her husband, Thomas; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, April 22, 2013 at the Chester Chapel of J.T Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Highland United Methodist Church, 125 East Westover Ave, Colonial Heights, VA 23834, Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery.
