Lena Lanter

Lena Perry Lanter, age 93, of Hopewell, VA, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2011. She was born in Staunton, VA, the daughter of the late Ohlen and Susy Coffman Perry. Mrs. Lanter was also preceded in death by her husband, Samuel â??Hileyâ? Lanter. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Surviving relatives include her son, Samuel W. Lanter; daughter, Rebecca L. Lanter; granddaughters, Melanie Norris, Natasha Lanter, and Anna Rushing; and six great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in her honor on Sunday, January 16, at 4 p.m. in The Kingdom Hall Of Jehovahâ??s Witness, Prince George, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions are made to Hospice of Virginia at 7231 Forest Ave # 100 Richmond, VA 23226.
