Lena Morris Parham

Lena Morris Parham, 89, of Chester, VA, departed this life on August 13, 2023. She was born on November 2, 1933, in Brodnax, VA. Lena was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron Kirk Morris & Ruth Poythress Morris; and her loving husband of 63 years, Vernon Hart Parham. She is survived by her son, Stephen Hart Parham; and daughter, Carol Parham Lloyd (Bill); grandchildren, William Matthew Lloyd, David Heath Parham, Patrick Parham Lloyd (Megan), Virginia Parham Mercado (Andres), and Corey Nicole Parham (fiancé' Connor); great-grandchildren, Dominic, Ashby, William, Colin, Owen, Phillip, and Mallory; brother, Jerry Kirk Morris (Janet); and sister-in-law, Sylvia Flippen; with numerous nieces and nephews; and beloved pets, Chip and Ramsey. Lena was a member of the Bermuda Hundred United Methodist Church. She retired from Allied Chemical with many diverse roles from 1959 to 1996. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed working in her flower beds and reading during her spare time. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Lena was a beloved wife, mother, Nana, Great Nana, and friend and will be missed. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home - Chester Chapel, 3050 W Hundred Rd, Chester, VA 23831. A graveside service will be conducted at Sunset Memorial Park, 2901 W. Hundred Rd, Chester, VA 23831 on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at 12:00 pm.
