Leona Adelia Grammer

Leona Adelia Davis Grammer, 89, a lifelong resident of Hopewell, VA went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 5, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Elisha William and Leona Isabelle Hawkins Davis; and was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Harvey Lee Grammer. Mrs. Grammer was a faithful and long-time member of Gill Grove Baptist Church in Chesterfield, VA. She is survived by her children, Mark E. Grammer (Kathy), Mary Ellen Smith (Billy), Sheryl McCall (John) and Cindy Waymack (Warren); her five grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren who affectionately referred to her as MeeMaw; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Appomattox Cemetery, Hopewell, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
