Leona Leslie

Leona Jozwiak Leslie, 93, of Hopewell, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2011. She was a longtime member of Woodlawn Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Womenâ??s Circle. Mrs. Leslie enjoyed cooking, camping, and fishing. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Leslie is preceded in death by her husband, Earl R. Leslie Sr.; her parents; Anton Selix and Mary Agnes Sabiszewski Jozwiak; a granddaughter, Kimberly Williams; sisters, Annie Derski and Helen Price; and brothers, Bernard Jozwiak Sr., Alex Jozwiak, and Anton Jozwiak. She is survived by her sons, Earl R. Leslie Jr. and wife Frances (Cookie), and Leonard G. Leslie and companion Chris Johnson; grandchildren, Vicki, David, Michael, and Leonard Jr.; great grandchildren, Kayeley, Zachary, Bray, and Ava; a sister, Clara Pito; several nieces and nephews; and family and friends. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 19, 2011 at Appomattox Cemetery, with the Rev. Jeff Butler officiating.
