Leona Whitley

Leona Carolyn Long Whitley, 62, of Prince George died Thursday, November 13, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Whitley was born in Richmond, Kentucky and had been a long time resident of the Prince George area. She was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky School of Nursing. Mrs. Whitley is survived by her husband, Donald Perry Whitley, a daughter, Kimberly Whitley, both of Prince George, six grandchildren, Thomas Long of Prince George, Amanda and Michael Whitley, of Hopewell, Hayden and Paige Whitley of Colonial Heights, Justin Whitley of St. Stephens Church, VA, her father, Moss Long and her mother, Deamie Murphy Rose, both of Richmond, KY, three step-sons, Kevin Whitley and his wife Allison of Colonial Heights, Wayne Whitley and his wife Kay of St. Stephens Church, VA, Shawn Whitley and his wife Connie of Chesterfield County, a sister-in-law, Carol W. Stacy and her husband Wayne of Houston, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Monday, November 17, 2008 at 6:00 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Father Jay Wagner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church officiating. Following the service the family will receive friends until 8:30 PM.
