Leonard Maurice Girling, Iii

Leonard Maurice Girling III, 70, of N. Chesterfield, VA passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Joyce E. Girling; son, L. Marc Girling and wife Myra Brown-Girling; son, Adam Patrick Girling; brother, William Girling and wife Donna and numerous extended family and friends. Leonard was born in Nicolas County, West Virginia on July 18, 1945 and was a United States Air Force veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He graduated from the University of Richmond and the VCU School of Business. He worked as a civilian employee for the U.S. Army and retired as an instructor with the Army Logistics University at Fort Lee, VA. Leonard was an intelligent, gentle man whose family will remember his life as a precious gift and a memory to cherish. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Rd., Chester, VA 23831. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia 103000 Pridesville Rd, Amelia Court House, VA 23002.
