Lester Olan Martin Jenkins

Lester Olan Martin Jenkins, 90, of Chester, VA, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016. Born in Washington, VA, he was the son of the late John Golden and Lena Fincham Jenkins and is preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Mary Ann Jenkins. Mr. Jenkins was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army and served in WWII. He retired from the Army after serving our country for 20 years, following employment with Reynolds Metals where he also retired after 20 years of service. Mr. Jenkins is survived by his son, Steve M. Jenkins and his wife, Robin; two sisters-in-law; his special angel, Doris Blackwell; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at the Chester Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, also at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Bermuda Memorial Park.
