Lewell Eugene Davis, 57, of Drewryville, Virginia, went into eternal rest on Sunday, October 8, 2006. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam and a southern Baptist. He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Hill Davis, Sr.; a brother, Randy Lee Davis; and a sister, Pamela Davis.
He leaves behind his wife, Rhonda Davis; three children, Chance, Chase and Chastity Davis; four grandchildren, Gabrielle Sue, Zachary, Serena, and newest granddaughter, Star Isabella Davis. He is also survived by his mother, Mattie M. Davis; fifteen brothers and sisters, Katherine Peeler, Janice Hall, Benjamin H. Davis, Jr., Linda Buranich, Joseph Jenkins, Sally May, Timothy Scott, Ronald DeGrove, Richard Davis, Sr., Roger Davis, Gary Davis, Sr., Lisa Timmons, Donald Davis, Sr., Patricia Davis, and Fred Davis; numerous nieces and nephews; and lots of loving family and friends.
A graveside funeral service with military rites will be held Thursday, October 12, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the Alfred G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Milners Rd., Suffolk, Va. The family will receive friends at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, on Wednesday evening, 6:30 to 8:30. Condolences may be posted at www.jtmorriss.com .
