Lewis Chambers

Lewis Edward Chambers, age 69, of Chester, VA, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2010. He was born in Dinwiddie, VA, the son of the late Edwin Moss and Susie Lewis Chambers. Mr. Chambers was also preceded by a loving step-mother, Dorothy Chambers. He was a U. S. Army Veteran, and was retired from Allied Chemical. Mr. Chambers was also a member of Enon Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Chambers, sons, Jerry Mathena, of Honaker, VA, Terry Underwood and wife, Jody of Midlothian, VA, Keith Chambers and wife, Jane of Chester, and Kevin Chambers and wife, Cyndi of Prince George, VA; eight grandchildren, Shannon, Marcus, Sarah, Jeremy, Shawn, Bryce, Megan, and Corey; and four great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the Chester chapel of J. T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home on Sunday, July 11, 2010 from 2 to 5 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Monday, July 12, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
