Lewis Marks

Col. Lewis M. Marks, 77, of Petersburg, died Saturday, January 21, 2005. He was retired from the United States Army Reserves and Civil Service at Fort Lee. He was a member and past president of the Petersburg Lions Club, a member of the board of trustees at West End Baptist Church and a member of the Petersburg Industrial Authority. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte D. Marks; a daughter, Jean Marks Hillsman (Tom); a son, Steven Lewis Marks; grandchildren, Joshua and Lindsie Hillsman and Amanda and Adam Marks; two brothers, William and James Marks; three sisters, Doris Madison, Mary Lou Rice and Vergie Lewis and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at 11AM at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Homes & Cremation Services. Interment will be private.
