Lewis Shelton

Lewis O. Shelton, 89, of Chester, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2009. He was born in Epp, Kentucky, son of the late Noel T. and Elizabeth T. Shelton. Mr. Shelton was a veteran of the U.S. Army, as well as a Bronze Star recipient. He was also retired from the planning and construction division of the Chesterfield County School System. Mr. Shelton is survived by his wife, Ann H. Shelton; sons, Stephen Shelton and wife, Susan and Paul Shelton, all of Chesterfield, and Bruce Shelton and wife, Teresa of Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia; grandchildren, Laurel, Natalie and Mary Shelton; and brothers, Noel T. Shelton, Jr. of Amelia, Virginia and William H. Shelton of Rhode Island. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, April 30, 2009 from 7 to 8:30. A graveside funeral service will take place on Friday, May 1, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
