Lida Dailey Michalek, 87, of Petersburg, VA died on Friday, August 8, 2014. Born in Camden, Alabama she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley E. Michalek; three brothers; and one sister. She is survived by her children; Patricia A. Powers (Perry) of Camden, AL, Charles E. Michalek of Petersburg, VA, Stephen S. Michalek of Prince George, VA, Stephanie V. Michalek of Prince George, VA, and John Kevin Michalek (Marilyn) Petersburg, VA; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three sisters, Erma D. King of Disputanta, VA, Marion D. Covey (Henry W.) of Stoney Creek, VA, Betty Lou Rivers of Silver Creek, MS; three brothers, Charles Huey Dailey (Alice) of Camden, AL, John W. Dailey (Virginia) of Montgomery, AL, Cecil S. Dailey of Camden, AL; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to thank AseraCare hospice of Monroeville and Dr. Anthony House for the loving care they gave to Mrs. Michalek. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday at the funeral home with the Reverend Lewis Garrett, officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA.
