Lillian Hunter

Lillian Talmage Spain Hunter, 89, of Colonial Heights, formerly of Prince George, passed away on April 27, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Robert Epps Spain and Annie Elizabeth Talmage Spain. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jerman Meade Hunter, retired President of H. B. Hunter Co. in Norfolk and one sister, Miriam S. Michal. She attended Covenant Presbyterian Church, and was involved with several charitable and civic organizations throughout the years in the Petersburg community. Lillian is survived by one son, Dr. Robert J. Hunter of Alpine, TX; a sister, Mildred S. Arnold of Colonial Heights; several nieces and nephews; two devoted cousins, Ann M. Talmage of Morristown, NJ, Scott Farber Davis of Dinwiddie; and a godchild, Sarah Talmage of Morristown, NJ. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2012 in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, VA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Lillianâ??s memory to the charity of your choice. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
