Linda Young Davis

Linda Young Davis, of Chesterfield, VA, 81 years old, went to be with her Heavenly Father and family on August 21, 2023. Originally from Nashville, TN, but spent most of her life in Chesterfield, VA. She is predeceased by her parents, Walter Fred and MeDora Jane Young; her beloved daughter, Veda Davis Fenner; her sisters, Doris Jane Bennett and Mary Elizabeth Johnson; brothers, Walter Eugene Young and Fred Thomas Young; as well as a foster brother, Howard Ramsey. She is survived by her loving daughter, Doris Jean Switzer (Kenneth); as well as her grandchildren, Ron Fenner, Jr. (Debalena), Jonathan Fenner Paul Switzer, and Heather Switzer; and her nine great-grandchildren, Joshua Fenner, Makiya Fenner, Rebecca Fenner, Olivia Fenner, Madisyn Fenner, Andrea Fenner, Hailey Fenner, Brandon Fenner, and Jordan Fenner. She is also survived by her brothers, David Young (Kathleen), John Young (Betty), Bill Young (Elizabeth), and Frank Leroy Young (Mary); as well as her sister, Shirley Wright (Ian); foster brother, Paul Butch Ramsey; and brother-in-law, Bill Bennett. She was also blessed with nephews, nieces, and dear friends. She is retired Contract Specialist from DLA Aviation Richmond and a graduate of Richard Bland College in Petersburg. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 am, on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home in Chester, VA, with Evangelist Nathan Morrison officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 1, 2023, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Condolences may be registered jtmorriss.com.
